ひとり旅 Traveking weathercock

 

  

 

風見鶏は旅をする。
旅をするならひとり旅がいい。

I would rather travel alone.

 

 

朝も、

In the morning,

 

 

夜も、

and also in the night,

 

 

絶景をひとり占めできる。

I can enjoy the wonderful view all to myself.

 

 

不思議なこともたくさんある。

I will come across many strange incidents.

 

 

冷たい雨をひとりで乗り越えるたくましさも身に付く。

I can develop my toughness getting through the cold rain all by myself.

 

 

みんなと同じ方へスイスイ流れていくこともあるけど

Sometimes I will be turning to the same way with others smoothly,

 

 

巨大な壁が立ちふさがることもある。

sometimes a huge wall will stand in my way.

 

 

でも、なんと言ってもロマンスが最高！

Nothing is more important than romance, however , in the end.

 

 

恋をして子供が生まれて家族になって、、、、ひとり旅はおしまいおしまい。

I was in love , have children ,and have my family.
I am not alone now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

これからは、そう。家族旅行。
今度は家族でどこいこう！？

Traveling with my family is not as bad as traveling alone.
Where will I go with my family next time?

この絵本を描いた頃、よく友人と一緒に海外旅行に出かけていました。
旅をすると、見たことのない風景、人、食に出会い、刺激的な一方で、自分がいかに臆病（チキン）かがよくわかりました。

そんな頃だったので、旅とニワトリをテーマにした絵本を考えました。
ストーリーを色々と考えていると、人生も大きな旅かもしれないと思うようになりました。
それで、こんな絵本になりました。
